THE CANADIAN CHINESE CONSUMERS ASSOCIATION (B.C) IS A REGISTERED NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED IN 1986. OUR PRIMARY MISSION IS TO PROVIDE CONSUMER-RELATED INFORMATION TO CANADIANS, ESPECIALLY THOSE CONSUMERS WHO NEED ASSISTANCE IN MAKING WISE DECISIONS.
Following our 25th Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, April 12, we are pleased to announce and welcome our new Board of Directors for the term of 2011 – 2013:

CCCA a registered non-profit volunteer-based organization founded in 1986 committed to consumer education and information which helps Chinese-speaking consumers to understand their rights and make informed and responsible decisions. In 2011, we have handled 431 phone inquiries, of which 36% are Mandarin speakers and 64% are Cantonese speaking clients. We have also provided 26 consumer education seminars at community centres or partner agencies. In 2011, we have hosted over 50 hours of radio and television programs. Our work is supported through government grants and donations. Donations and sponsorships are always appreciated as they help CCCA to further the scope and scale of consumer education in the Lower Mainland.

CCCA has been supported by a group of individual members. We would like to express our appreciation by mailing them updated consuming information regularly. Moreover, we also distribute seminar schedule which notify the members about CCCA’s latest activities. |

In addition, CCCA has recruited a team of experienced advisors, whom each represent their respective industries.Whenever we received a formal complaint, we would first consult these advisors for their professional opinions. We would also invite these advisors to be the keynote speaker during our regular public seminars, where they would provide professional advice on their respective field to the attendees. |
One of the objectives of CCCA is to connect the buyers and the consumers.Besides protecting the consumers’ rights, we would also like to promote outstanding businesses to the public.
